I'm looking into getting a new desktop soon and I just learned that I could get an ADC student membership for $99 and get 20% off one hardware purchase as opposed to the normal 10% I get for education. The net savings on a present-day mid-line Mac Pro would be about $300 for the configuration I'd get if I bought today.

But the pricing on the monitors is weird. It's $539 vs $549 for 20", $809 vs $799 for 23", and $1619 vs $1599 for 30" (ADC vs. EDU).

Does anyone know why the monitors are not a flat 20% - or even 10% - discount as opposed to components for the Mac Pro? It just seems weird to me ...
