Apple Device, Bakcup Folders ... Needed ?

Hello,

I currently make a copy of my iTunes backup folder for all my apple devices, located in in the 'App Data' folder... to an External HD

and recently, I have moved my iTunes 'Library' folder to my Secondary Internal HD as the apps do take up a lot of space ... This folder is also backed up to an External HD.

I understand the necessity of the App Data folder for a restore... but is the Library folder necessary for a restore, as is only includes apps ?

PS ... im not planning on DELETING the library ... just is it worth backing it up ?
