I cannot get the dvi to video adapter to work. So I connected the DVI to Video Adapter to my computer then I connect a video cord to the adapter and plugged it into my tv. Then I selected input on my tv and it shows a blue screen. so i opened the system preferences then clicked displays and then I clicked detect displays and nothing happened. Nothing will show up on my tv.:(

When you change the TV to input and the blue screen appears, will the blue screen appear whether or not your Mac is connected to the TV?

If yes, then try changing the resolution of your Mac's display in System Preferences.

If no, try to check if you have mirroring on or off in System Preferences.

Do you have a MacBook or MacBook Pro? If so, have you closed and opened the MacBook while it's connected to the TV?
