Apple Downloads?

I read somewhere that apple wasn't updating the downloads page on their website but the most recently added (featured) app was 6 days ago.
So are they still updating it?
If they are, Is it possible for anybody with a decent application to submit something?

It's still being updated - several new 3rd-party downloads were posted on July 2. That being the case, it should be possible to submit applications too.

The Downloads page just isn't in the navigation bar on Apple.com anymore, but its being updated daily.

Just don't know why Apple hide the download link? Maybe they think mac os is not important any more, at least, not as important as iOS.

Because they had to make room for the iPad link

Apple released a new product this year (the iPad), so it's devoted that top bar real estate to it. It is pretty frustrating to see Apple focus so much on the iOS at the expense of the Mac OS, though.
