Apple Education Store?

I just recently purchased a 12 inch Powerbook (which should arrive this week, hopefully!) and I noticed that although I ordered through my school's education page, I was never asked to show proof of enrollment. It seems to me that anyone could click on the Education link, select a random school, and get a pretty sweet discount. Is there any kind of confirmation that takes place?

If you read the fine print, Apple may conduct an audit and if you can't prove that you were entitled to the education discount they can bill you for the balance. And they would win.
