Apple Employee Discount: How does it work?

Have some quick questions on how exactly the EPP works - am hoping current Apple Employees or those who know can help answer

1. Does EPP work internationally? For example, if my friend works for Apple in the US, and I live in Singapore, are they able to sponsor my items in Singapore and I pay in SGD?
2. Can you pay using apple giftcards?

They can’t sponsor your discount but they can log into the EPP store in Singapore and place the purchase on your behalf. You’d need to trust them with your credit card (or give them gift cards).

Would I need to find the Singapore EPP store for my friend or is there a built in country selector in the EPP website like the normal non-employee website: apple.com/choose-country-region
