I got a 12" Powerbook for 1300bux...

I could be wrong, but it was my understanding that Apple employees were not allowed to post on rumors boards.

This could be a difficult question to find an answer to.

I've heard 25%

That would be for full-time worker benefits. It includes a 25% off any system per year, and 10% discounts on other things. Family friends, I think upwards of three, can get 15% off items.

i figured they couldnt thats why i posted the pm thing...

well educational discount is usually 200 off a 1500 dollar pruduct...

Apple have no right whatsover to dissalow their employees from doing anything in their own time and in their private life.

If, hovever, they state facts or start rumors etc, then Apple may step in as it would've been part of their employment agreement.

Actually Apple *does* have that right.

Each employee must sign a statement which does not allow the employee to participate in any 'rumor' message boards. The employees are allowed one discount for themselves at 25% and three discounts for friends and family at 15%.

Any one if they get commission after a sale? Their so pushy..
Is this what you meant: "Anyone know if they get commissions after a sale? They're so pushy.."

If so, they don't work on commission per se, but they do get bonuses. The more they sell, the bigger their bonuses are.

Though I don't work for Apple, but I do get corporate discounts varying from 8 to 15% depending on item directly from Apple. All i have to do is show my employee's ID at the cashier or order from the dedicated site on Apple's site.

One of the few perks working in a large corporation who deals often with Apple. :p

Explanation...

Apple Employees are not allowed to divulge privileged information, but can talk about happenings.
They get one 25% discount (personal use) and three 15% discount (friends and family) per calendar year, but the products must be ordered via the company website.
10% discounts are allowed for in-store items for personal use of family and friends, there is no real limit but I know of no one whom has tested it.
No, Apple employees earn no commission, they just want to sell you the best stuff. It is quite frustrating for both employees and customers when a customer brings in a two year old computer to be repaired, and then find out it costs more than Applecare would have been to fix.
