Sorry, but those articles don't even really make sense.

1.) Steve robs resigning was due to health issues, whether Apple denies it or not is something else. Even look at how fragile he looked at the iOS 5 keynote. This has nothing to do with a sooner than usual iPhone launch.

2.) The hurricane doesn't affect Apple, period. Apple's iPhone production is based in Asia, that's the only place where production could be affected. Obviously the earthquake in Asia impacted iPad 2 production because that's where they are manufactured. And it's not like there is an Apple event scheduled for next week, thus this hurricane isn't impacting the travel plans of anyone at all because there's no event.

I think the best thing you can do is stop reading the crap that site is putting out.

Hmm, what that site says does indeed sound plausible...

But let's not forget that Apple's no ordinary company/corporation. They're... unique. This was indicated by the fact that the resignation of a legendary CEO only helped push the stocks up to make Apple the most valuable company... this time for an entire weekend. I'd like to think that they know where Apple stands in Wall street as well as with their consumers. So they'd know that while Steve Jobs's resignation is a shock to every one, it wouldn't really matter in the short term. Thus, iPhone 5 will be released as they originally planned, with the event date staying the same. Idk, that's just what I think...

Due to the 7th beta coming out today, I predict that the invites will go out next Wednesday. This gives them 2 weeks to have the GM polished for the event.

I predict that the iPhone 5 will be released on October 5th, just like how the iPad 2 was released March 2nd.

But i hope i'm wrong, i want the iPhone 5 to be announced by Mid-September and released near the end of September.

plus at one point they said about Apple saving Steve Jobs' resignation until the iPhone 4 Launch.... lol

the New York thing and Jobs resignation have no affect on the iPhone 5 announcement and launch.

well the last 2 major iOS releases had 3-4 weeks between final beta and GM, so if Beta 7 is the last before GM (fairly likely) i would say GM and event to be 3 weeks today minimum (give or take a couple of days).

Keynote on the 28th. :D

Nah, I think that they keynote will either be on the 23rd of Sept or before, why? Because Apple's quarter ends on the 24th, a Saturday. And in the earnings call they said a major product transition would occur by then. :D
