Apple Event Plans: New Products Coming in 2026

Every year, Apple holds three or four events to unveil new products. There's often a spring event around March or April, the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, a September event focused on the iPhone and Apple Watch, and sometimes, an October or November event that features Macs and iPads.

In this guide, we're tracking the Apple events that are on the horizon, including what we're expecting to see at each one. Make sure to check in often, because we'll be updating this guide with new rumors regularly.

September iPhone Event

Apple's September event will see the unveiling of new iPhone models and new Apple Watches. This year, we're expecting Apple's first foldable iPhone.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max

The iPhone 18 Pro will have a smaller Dynamic Island, and it's rumored to be getting a variable aperture Main lens that works more like a DSLR camera. The iPhone 18 Pro will use an A20 Pro chip built on Apple's 2nm process, and it's going to have Apple's C2 modem. This year's special color is rumored to be a dark cherry shade.

iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra

Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected in fall 2026. It's rumored to have a 5.3-inch external display that unfolds into a 7.6-inch internal display, with a book-style design that resembles an iPad mini when it's open. The new foldable could be super thin at 4.5mm when open, and Apple is said to have used advanced display techniques and a highly durable hinge to nearly eliminate the device's crease. It will be equipped with an A20 chip, dual rear cameras, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the power button in the frame rather than Face ID. It could cost as much as $2,500. We don't yet know what Apple will call the device, but some rumors suggest it could be the iPhone Ultra.

Apple Watch Series 12

The Apple Watch Series 12 isn't expected to feature any major design changes, and we haven't heard any rumors about new capabilities that might be added. It could just get a chip refresh.

iPad mini 8

The next-generation version of the iPad mini is rumored to feature a major technology upgrade, with Apple set to adopt an OLED display. The iPad mini 8 could have a more water resistant design with a vibration-based speaker system that allows Apple to eliminate the device's speaker holes, plus it could use the same A20 chip that Apple plans to use in the iPhone 18 Pro.

HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini 2 is reportedly ready to launch, but it's dependent on the next-generation version of Siri, which is now delayed until September. It will feature an updated S-series chip based on the Apple Watch Series 10, and we're expecting new color options to be available. Some rumors suggest that it will use Apple's N1 networking chip, but leaked code indicates that it will not use Apple's new chip technology.

Home Hub

Apple is planning to launch a home hub that will support smart home products, listening to music, making video calls, getting the weather, looking things up with ‌Siri‌, displaying photos, making notes, viewing calendar events, and more. The home hub has an all-display design with an iPad-like 7-inch display. There are two models, one that's designed to be mounted to the wall and one that's got an included speaker base that looks like a HomePod mini.

Apple TV 4K

The Apple TV will get a new Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, along with a faster A17 Pro processor that will add support for console-quality games and Apple Intelligence. No design changes are expected.

Late 2026

Apple could hold a second fall event, in either October or November. In years that Apple has done a second event, it has typically featured Macs and iPads.

OLED MacBook Pro

A MacBook Pro (or MacBook Ultra) with an OLED touchscreen display could launch in late 2026, but Apple might also hold it until early 2027. The higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook models will use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips because Apple isn't going to release M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. The OLED MacBook Pro will have an updated design.

Entry-Level 14-inch MacBook Pro

The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to get an M6 chip, and it'll be one of the first machines with Apple's 2-nanometer chip technology.

iMac

The 24-inch iMac will get an update, and it'll also probably get the new M6 chip. No design or display changes are expected, so it'll continue to look like the current model from 2024.

Apple Security Camera

Rumors suggest that Apple is designing its own indoor security cameras that will connect to ‌HomeKit‌ and interface with the planned home hub. It could come as soon as late 2026.

Hah, even iOS devices are going to be relegated to the sidelines like the Mac in favor of the new hotness: boring services revenue. Please Apple, don't become a boring company. Leave that to Elon Musk.

Same here! I really wanted a new Mac Pro after owning a 2006 and 2009 Mac Pro but the processors and especially the GPUs in them were hot garbage. I can't believe that building your own computer for 1/4th the price would get you a better performing computer than a 'legit' Apple Mac computer.

The Hackintosh has easily been my favourite computer and one that's given me the most use. I've had it for 4 years now and I still don't have any plans to upgrade any time soon OTHER than the GPU (would love a GTX 1070 or something better, but my 980 is still more than adequate).

We? You can speak for yourself, I always look forward to these types of events, because generally, we really never know what to expect, and any hardware is merely a bonus for an event that may not necessarily be solely focused on hardware like the fall keynote is. Try staying open minded, that way you don’t set yourself up for disappointment for something that’s not guaranteed.

How can you say that with a straight face on THIS website knowing that a plethora of articles written about the keynotes typically feature almost everything about them prior to.

There isn’t any hardware guaranteed to be launching in this event, we don’t know specifically what/when will launch regarding the AirPods, iPad mini, iPod, etc. There’s nothing slated to launch for this specific keynote, again, any hardware is merely a bonus, aside from services side of things for this keynote. Fall keynotes, we obviously can expect more hardware given their tradition.

How DARE you question their COURAGE?!? The courage to rip off their clients! The courage to make less and less reliable hardware at more and more absurd prices! The courage to make 'Pro' products that are useless for actual working professionals! The courage to make each MacOS iteration that much worse than the previous one!

I ask again, How dare you question their courage?!?

If AAPL was being run by an Average Joe, AAPL would focus on ONE thing & ONE thing ONLY for it's Video Steaming Service ... High-Bit-Rate 1080p "Live Sports" !

AND, that Average Joe's "strategy" would generate more Excitement & Enthusiasm than any "copy-cat" service AAPL will announce on March 25th !
