appleaday is the name of a restaurant serving fast food and natural. To illustrate the concept, the restaurant owners were inspired by the famous English saying " An apple a day Keeps the doctor away "and thus created an apple-shaped logo. While this logo is very different from Apple the company still sent a letter to the restaurant to change name and logo.

A funny situation when you consider that Apple found itself in the same configuration with the other Apple, the Beatles this time ... (read : Both agree Apple ) restaurant now hopes to find a Cupertino amicable agreement identical to that which had been signed with the record company. The restaurant promises never to get into the computer and in exchange, it keeps its logo and name.

The Logo:

That's ridiculous. It's like when Apple was suing Amazon (I think) because they were using the term 'app store'.

So, what's next? Apple starts suing apple farmers?

Apparently so......unless they agree to stipulate that they grow Granny Smiths, or Cox's Pippins, or, or, rather than apples. How ludicrous is that?

Ridiculous.

Haven't Apple's lawyers got enough work suing and defending themselves against real competitors?

Evidently not, if this is the sort of ridiculous activity they get paid to do.

A certain CEO takes great delight in playing the bully.

His greed knows no limits.

Unfortunately, all too true.

Bizarre. Actually, deranged might be a better word.

Guess id better remove my location from my profile and go into hiding :D

Yes, it would seem that a discreet disappearing act might be in order.

Seriously, this is absolutely ridiculous; not only is it crass, and the behaviour of a bully; it is also a bizarre and ludicrous example of megalomania, where an arrogant creature arrogates to himself the right to define actual language as used by others! OP, thanks for posting this.

Apple needs a healthy dose of ridicule.

Someone call Jon Stewart.

He should make time for this, a welcome respite from his usual political suspects.

Wow, Apple should be ashamed of themselves. They should continue picking on people their own size. Maybe mother nature should sue Apple for using her intellectual property.

Oh and they should also consider suing this person for making a DIY iPhone.

Just getting ridiculous now. Just because they now have more cash reserves than the U.S. government, they think they can bully anybody.

What hubris on the part of Apple to write a letter to this restaurant chain asking them to change their name and logo. Nonsense.

I actually thought of you when I read the thread's title. :)

Well they seem to be going after anyone they can dont they :)[/QUOTE]

Sorry for late reply i somehow missed this thread being updated. The font and style of the logo is not at all like Apples. I dont see there being any confusion with the general public in terms of mistaking this for an Apple franchise
