Last week, a listing appeared in the Bluetooth product database for an Apple product with a placeholder name "B2002" and a model number of "TBD." MacRumors was alerted to the listing by health and fitness tech website MyHealthyApple.

The product is filed under the "personal computer" category, which Apple has used for previous Mac and iPad listings in the database, so it is hard to pinpoint the listing to a specific product at this time. The listing could simply end up being for the new iPad Air unveiled last month, but it could also be for the first Apple Silicon Mac or something else.

The listing's Qualified Design IDs also correspond with previous listings for both Macs and iPads, so that doesn't help pinpoint things either.

Published on October 22, the listing was Apple's first public-facing entry in the Bluetooth product database since late 2019. However, since many Apple products use the same Bluetooth specifications, Apple is often able to simply update its previous listings in the database with new products as they are released.

Rumors suggest that Apple plans to unveil its first Mac with a custom Apple Silicon processor at a November 17 event. Other rumored products in Apple's pipeline include its long-awaited AirTags item trackers, AirPods Studio over-ear headphones, and a new gaming-focused Apple TV, but launch dates for those products are less certain.

We know that the first Apple Silicon Mac will arrive before the end of 2020, because Apple promised so in a press release earlier this year. At the time, Apple said it also still had "exciting" new Intel-based Macs in development.

Since the iPad Air 3 was Bluetooth 5.0, the iPad Air 4 might have been an update of the existing listing and would not be the reason for this one.

So possibly more evidence of an ASi Mac coming soon.

Possibly more evidence? What more evidence do you need then Tim Cook literally saying that he’ll have a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor out by the end of 2020.
It came right out of his mouth, what more evidence do you need?
it’s not allegedly coming out by the end of this year, it’s not maybe coming out by the end of this year, it’s definitely coming out by the end of this year.
they announced it four months ago.
this isn’t news

For the record, I believe the first ASi Mac will ship this year, but this is 2020 and "normal service" has yet to resume. I mean the bloody iPhone is late this year...

Within the next 30 days we will know for sure. Nevertheless I am still curious on how this will unfold.

Holy ****....its all leaking....again! Just like with the iPhone, the Apple Watch, and the iPad Air...the AS Macs are leaking....no.....I wanted to remain spoiler-free and be surprised come early-mid Nov when Apple inevitably does a rare Nov Press Event showing off these new machines....

First, it was the reveal of the desktop AS Macs coming early next year, and now this....what's next? the actual leaked image of the chassis?

Man, at this rate, everything will be leaked before the event....

I should maybe turn off Twitter and stay off of MacRumors for the better part of the next 2-3 weeks, what do you say, MacRumors?

I’m betting on a 12” MacBook with killer battery life feature of 15-20 hours. Still have a 2017 MB12 but that would make me consider upgrading, as I mostly use it for word processing and emails.

It would be nice if they also announced the A14X iPad Pro 11” and 12.9” in November, too, but I know there is practically zero percent chance of this happening.

I mean... Are you sure this is the right site for you if you don't like leaks? 😂

I feel like AirTags is the most likely culprit here. With HomePod Mini's U1 inclusion, you could ask Siri where your phone AND keys are!

But again, Apple considers every new Mac as “exciting”, so perhaps they were just referring to the 27” iMac, and that could be the last Intel Mac we’ll see.

Ultra slim MacBook ... I want GORE Thermal protection like the Dell XPS cause man using aluminum we SURE need it!

ASilicon MacBook Pro should be NO thicker than 2 2018/2020 iPad Pro's sandwiched together! Bezel have the size of the iPad Air 4/iPad Pro 2018/2020 as well please :D Give us a more dense glass than what the iPhone 12's have and we're good super good! (ok fan-boy flame is off).

Two devices I would love to see: iPad Mini "Pro" (very unlikely, I know), 14" - 16" Macbook, non-pro. Very unlikely, I know.
Yeah, 16" non-pro for me. I will snap one up. I prefer a big screen, don't need any fast processing or graphics, and current 16" with 1TB SSD is freaking expensive, so I sit on my 2015 15" MBP (which I upgraded to 500GB, and then to 1TB, from OWC at a fraction of the Apple Tax prices) and wait. I'd actually prefer 2TB, but with the unbelievable Apple Tax it's completely out of the question. But hey, by the time I actually move on from this laptop, a 2TB might even be the base option :D
