Apple files new patent for cellular MacBook

There was a time when Apple's engineers were focused on developing a MacBook with built-in cellular connectivity. The patents dried up in 2015 and I began thinking it was another rejected project until this morning. A fresh, up to date patent filing shows us that the cellular MacBook may be back in play.

If this is the plan, would we see them available on NEXT (or comparable) program?

I have a 2014 MBPr now but I'm lusting HARD over the proposed specs of 2016 MBPr... 3.5mm aux port or not. I've been saving up for the upgrade but it would be much easier on a NEXT type program. Thoughts?
