By removing the Fine Woven iPhone case from the lineup, Apple, in effect, admits the failure of this case.

So let’s see, stop making a perfectly good leather case that people love and replace it with the disaster that was the fine woven case. Smart move 😉! I never understood why Apple turned against leather.

Although partly that, I suspect that there’s more to it. Eg maybe Apple had problems getting FineWoven to work with the new capacitive button without resorting to an ugly cutout. The Apple Silicon and clear cases have a covered button.

FineWoven is still being used for the wallet and watch straps. If a complete failure why is this material still being used here? Especially for a watch strap which needs to be just as durable as a case.
