Apple Finder - How to view folders/files in a List but still rearrange by kind???

Hello everyone,

For those of you who know Windows, you can view your folders/files in a list but still re-arrange by type/kind (i.e. I will get the folders first, then the different kinds of files).

Is there anyway to do this on Mac???

I have Leopard 10.5.6.

View -> Show View Options -> check the "Kind" box

Then in the window click the "Kind" column header.
