Apple FineWoven band cleaning frequency

How often should the FineWoven Apple Watch band be cleaned? I found the Apple instructions which says to clean with a mixture of detergent and water, wipe with water, wipe dry and then let dry for 24 hours.

I like the feel and look of the FineWoven band and wondering if cleaning too much will destroy it. Just wanted to make this $100 band last the longest I can.

Not sure on finewoven, but since moving to the fabric bands I bought a cheap ultrasonic cleaning unit, put a small amount dish soap in it and run it for 15 mins, then let dry overnight, they come up really well.
