Just a suggestion to Apple, if you are so against Flash on devices please give iweb the same functionality that Flash can deliver.

True Rollover buttons
Keyframe Animation
User interactivity
User designed navigation that doesnt reload for every page

Just for starters.

Until you can deliver similar to Flash, quityerbitchen.

Animation is possible with html5.

Safari is the first browser with full html5.
Google is also supporting html5. Recently started offering a non-flash videos on YouTube.

iWeb is basically "web design for dummies". Nothing wrong with using it - make nice websites really easily and quickly. But it isn't proper nor powerful web design software. You can't code, implement CSS etc..

Apple is chastising an app when they wont provide an alternative....

I know action scripting and am comfortable with it. I dont know html and dont have the time or resources to learn it. Flash has a very intuitive keyframe based animation/rollover structure that I prefer and html does not (that I am aware of)

There is no reason iweb cannot fill this void, perhaps an iweb pro version?

But I think its a bit hypocritical for apple to shun an interactive web app when they dont offer an html solution...

Rant complete :)

It's not up to Apple to provide Flash support. Maybe you haven't been a member of the Apple fold for long enough, but if you haven't noticed.... you don't decide what you need, Apple does. If you don't like it you can adopt the Apple way or take the highway. I'm not saying it's right, it's just how it is.

They're not really chastising Flash by not including it in iWeb, they just figure anyone using iWeb won't know how to code Flash anything. As a previous poster stated, iWeb is for building quick website without knowledge of HTML. If you want Flash support you'll have to look elsewhere.
