Fellow collectors~

Has anyone heard of or seen an Apple fountain pen?

Any info?

I collected a few Apple pens from a few presentations (FCP, OS X, etc.) in my town. They have an iMac-like translucent body (that is, like the original iMacs) and come in different colours. Frankly they look better than they work and I had a few of them fall apart in my hand. Having said that, I never miss an opportunity to collect a few more, especially since they are given out for free.

Here is a sample of my collection. Admittedly, the rest of my collection is missing (looted like so much of our history from a Baghdad museum) and this is the only remaining sample.

Here it is!

Can you tell me about how much you paid for it? I've got my eye on one in an auction and I don't want to pay like $400 if I can get one for $19.95.

Thanks!

if the pic above is indeed the pen, it can be had for $9.99 in one of three colors or $4.95 in white all at redlightrunner.com.

Doesn't look much like a fountain pen, tho. Redlightrunner doesn't seem to have any...

edit: is this what you're looking for? $19.95, sounds about perfect...

No, that's not it. But thanks.

Here's a picture from the auction itself. I'm hoping it's real. The guy said he got it from one of his friends who works for Apple.

Sorry, it's kind of a big picture.

hmm, never seen one of those, sorry. it could have been an internal item-- a gift for everyone that worked on a team, or something like that-- or it could just be new/rare. either way, you're probably going to wind up paying a lot for it :(

Apple Pen

I won the auction after a brief fight with another person. I only ended up paying ¥5100, which is around $50 maybe?

It's quite nice; heavy though. And there's some damage to the finish. There was nothing included but the pen, case & box. No written material at all. Oh well.

Here's another picture (mine.)

Perphaps I missed this on the above posts,
but go to RedLightRunner - I think that would be your best bet. From time to time they sponcer this site, so look for the banner. High markup, but that's the market.

Very cool pens.

I still have an unused Apple pen from back in '93 or '94 when I bought my Performa. They gave you a choice of a mousepad, a few issues of MacWeek or an Apple pen. I chose the pen. It looks cool, but I just never did actually use it. Maybe someday it will be worth a bit.

one of my friends (my age) has one of those pens. i have been trying to buy it from him beause it will probably be worth a lot in a few years from now.

It looks like a nice pen. By the looks of your signature, you seem to be quite an Apple collector! :)

You could say so, yeah. ;)

I got all these from auctions, they all work. It's little difficult to wear them with a suit but I still keep them around.

I tried attaching an image but it wouldn't come in at under 1024k like the limit says. Sorry ...

it was a just a picture of a bunch of Apple watches I have

Thanks:p

It's a Japanese keyboard. I bought my TiBook here in Japan. I'd like to change the keyboard but I'm too lazy to look for one, and don't want to risk busting the whole thing by changing it.

stupid me i should have looked at your location! lol
anyway, why don't you see if apple can do it? or get a cover like iSkin or something for the keyboard. they do make cases and skins for more than just iPods.
at least i think they do:rolleyes:
