Imagine if Apple released a game console that played games from every next gen console. You could take you PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS and PSP games and play them on a single unit for say $200 . Also you can use the same controls for it and the PS3 and Wii Classic would control the PSP and DS games.:apple:

a) whats up with all your crazy ideas....
b) how does this relate to a macbook?
c) didn't apple already have a game console?, and didn't it fail miserably?

I don't even know which unbelievable idea to address first....

1) The plays everything under the sun and Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft would be OK with it

or

2) That Apple would release such a product with only a $200 price tag

The Pippin failed miserably thanks to Mike Spindler and Gil Amelio.

If Apple released a console today it would do what the iPhone did for phones, and what the iPod did for music.

1. They did. It was called the Pippin. It sucked eggs.
2. No, you couldn't. Each console has proprietary copyrights associated therein. It would be illegal to play these games without consent of the companies.
3. No, you couldn't. See above.

I suppose it might be entertainment of a sort watching all those lawyers queue up to royally violate Apple in every single court in the world, but would you still be enjoying this daydream once they got bankrupted by all those lawsuits?

Could you elaborate? What is broken about the current console market?
