I heard a rumour a few months back that apple had allowed companies to start making controllers for the games on iphone and iPad, much like the moga pro for android. this prospect played a small part in me choosing apple for my next phone but its gone a bit quiet on that front. does anyone know if there is still a plan to have an alternative to touch screen controls?

cheers

Rumor is that they are being held back from release until the new rumored iPads are announced. Of course, no way to verify that is true or not.

Some games have already added support for iOS controllers, so I suspect at least some controllers will be released fairly soon.

I will have to see controller support via actual games that take advantage of the pad (Metroidvanias and shmups please!) before I buy in.
