iPod Apple giving up on Shuffle Concept? (not Suffle product)

Hi all.

Apple has said in the past that it won't put a screen on the Shuffle because the shuffle represents a different "idea" than other mp3 players. That is, it's supposed to be embraced by people who aren't looking for a lot of control over their music.

That's all well and good, but the mp3 player market has matured quite a bit since the introduction of the Shuffle. A mp3 player over $50 without some kind of screen is just crazy in many people's eyes. Myself included.

Is it time Apple either dropped the price of the shuffle, or added a screen?

I like my shuffle. And I've memorized the ~150 song playlist I have on it anyway, so its perfect for me.

i have a shuffle and usually always have 50 songs on it and about every week i replace them and shuffle it. i like that. a screen would be nice though.
