For a long time i am a RAID 0 SSD user on my 2010 MacPro.

For more speed i use a Sonnet Tempo Plus SSD Pro.

With Sierra, booting on this 2To RAID 0, I've got 820 MB/S write speed and 980 MB/s read speed (Disk Speed Test).

Now High Sierra is out and it is impossible to use AppleRAID volume to boot on it, impossible with APFS Raid and HFS+ Raid.

Impossible after cloning a new drive whith CCC and 10.13 installing (unable to create preboot on a RAID).

So, i have one question : Why Apple has killed RAID booting with High Sierra ??

You can create a HFS+ RAID with the Disk Utility RAID assistent and boot from it. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to transfer an existing install to it. But I just used the Apple software RAID.

Does anybody know how to migrate it to APFS? How are things done on the iMac Pro?

There is a lot of detail in this thread about trying to get 10.13 working with an Apple RAID card. I don't think he succeeded in the end.

Edit: I see that the OP has already posted in that thread.
