For the past few days, I've been looking for a Ukrainian keyboard, but it seems they're very hard to come by. I was planning on buying a bunch of stickers until, what do you know, Apple has actually released a Ukrainian Magic Keyboard!

The only problem is: they're not available in the Dutch shop (and I assume many others). Should I expect this keyboard to become more widely available in the coming days/weeks?

There is no hardware difference. It is simply how the preferences are set for the keyboard (Apple Keyboards, at least).

Go to System Preferences, Keyboard, Input Sources. You will see a field where you can select the input source. Click "+" and you'll be presented with a pop-up that allows you to select from a wide variety of languages and input sources. Ukrainian is present now. You don't need to buy a special keyboard.

Totally different hardware as you can see in this photo.

the inconsistency of the placement for brackets across layouts is disconcerting

but nice move on apple's part

How the keys are labeled is a hardware difference and clearly an important one to someone who was considering resorting to stickers.

As to wider availability of the keyboard... I'd expect it to show up eventually assuming your local Apple lists other regional keyboards.

Ah, yes, you are correct, sorry. The different keyboard versions are available for order in the U.S., including Ukrainian. If this is a new version not previously available, and you can find the other (except for Ukrainian) language versions available in your country now, then I would expect the Ukrainian version will be available for you soon. The store should know.

Does anyone have any experience buying an iMac without the trackpad and keyboard?

If I buy a new keyboard and trackpad now, I'd have duplicates when I upgrade my iMac. I've love to do it all in one go when the new 24" iMac is out, but I'm not willing to wait half a year (or longer) for it.

Experience how? The iMac is priced with keyboard and mouse included, it does not provide the option to delete either or both. You might ask your local Apple Store or contact Apple Support to see if it is possible to purchase an iMac without the keyboard and mouse, but the option is not available or at least not provided for the standard purchase of an iMac.

Well, that's my question. I know the iMac normally can't be purchased without input devices.

I might contact my local (not really local) Apple Store to ask.
