If you have 6+ years experience with enterprise level network design Apple is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer that wants to live in rural Maiden, NC. Looks like they are starting to put together that billion dollar data center.

Job description Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and design solutions to meet global network infrastructure needs
• Installing, supporting, and maintaining routers, switches, and firewall equipment in a datacenter environment
• Perform on-call duties as member of an on-call rotation
• Perform after-hours change implementations as needed
• Manage network projects from instantiation to completion


• 6+ years experience with enterprise level network design

• Extensive hands-on management experience with the enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches (experience with Cisco equipment is a must)
• Must have superior network routing protocol troubleshooting skills (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS)
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including POS, PPP, VRRP, HSRP, and SNMP protocols
• Extensive hands-on experience with security issues and Access Control mechanisms to prevent unwanted access
• Experience with standard network change management and configuration policies
• In-depth knowledge of network monitoring and other network administrative tools
• Network certification (or equivalent training/experience) preferred (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE)
• College degree (BA or BS) or equivalent
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
