Apple Hiring for Staten Island store.

Just saw on Yahoo's Hot-jobs website numerous Apple jobs for Staten Island, NY. According to a construction worker I spoke with renovating the old Nobody Beats The Wiz store site behind the S.I. Mall, Apple and TGI-Fridays will be occupying the space.

Finally I wont have to travel to NJ for Apple goodies! Yes!

This is very welcome news, if only, as Yogi Berra would put it, the SoHo store "is so crowded that no-one goes there any more", the Genius Bar especially.

Now I can go back to the preferred option of using the Apple Store as a conduit for my all-too-frequent Applecare repairs rather than having to use DHL/Airborne, who I've come to loathe over the years.

So who's got the insider info on when it'll open...?
