Apple ID Issue

Hi all

long story short when I first created an Apple ID years ago used a Hotmail email address, then when Apple launched their free @me.com email addresses I created one and same for @icloud.com email address.

As my Hotmail email was old and never used I then eventually changed my Apple ID to my @icloud.com email address, leaving just that and my @me.com email address active on my account.

I have recently set up my home and under my name in the home app I noticed it said:

iCloud: xxx@me.com
Media: xxx@icloud.com

I went to Apple support and they suggested to change my Apple ID to my @me.com then change it back.

which I done but now when trying to change it back it’s saying ‘can’t change Apple ID right now, try again later’ or words to that effect.

is there a timescale for how often you can switch between your @me.com and @icloud.com for your Apple ID?

The only timeframe that's mentioned in the Apple ID support documents is if you created your icloud.com address within the past 30 days. You may need to contact Support again.
