Hi, I have a M1 iMac running Mac OS Ventura 13.1 and the Apple ID pane = System Preferences/iCloud is very slow. Can anybody help me with this?

Uninstall all your VPN apps or turn off iCloud Private Relay. pick one of two.

i don not have VPN and I can't do anything because the Pane is slow and Private Relay says it is 'loading'

I see, I wasted an afternoon on this. The fastest way is to turn off iCloud Private Relay. To be quick, close the settings panel and reopen it, go into private relay in iCloud settings and turn it off. If your operation is too slow, this page will freeze. My experience is to click quickly once the next page appears. Believe me, as long as the private relay is successfully turned off, everything will be back to normal

finally I succeeded and could stop Private Relay and everything is back to normal. Thank You for Your kind support

what worked for me was going into settings, general, login items, and turning off my vpn there. then rebooting into safe mode. in safe mode the apple id pane worked fine and i was able to turn off iCloud private relay. then rebooted like normal and turned back on the vpn in login items and all worked well.

so private relay is the issue, didn't need to install vpn. hopefully its a bug that gets fixed rather than a choice.
