Changed my Apple ID password successfully (2 step verification by mobile phone and email) and can see all my updated info via the web on my Apple ID Account Page: Apple ID name, password, account security info, notification email address etc.

However, when I go to the App Store and attempt to sign in, it fails, saying ‘your apple ID password is incorrect’

I have gone through the change password process a number of times, seeing my updated info on my Apple ID Account Page each time but still get the same error message when trying to log in to the App Store.

Incidentally, under ‘devices’ on my Apple ID Account Page, there is nothing listed even though I have two Mac Minis (Mid 2011/Mavericks OS) that have been linked to this Apple ID in the past (with old password).

Any suggestions how I can remedy this problem?

Thanks

What macOS are you using? Have you tried signing into your Apple ID account from the Minis using the Apple ID panel in System Preferences/Settings?

As above: Mavericks.

I get the same error message ‘your apple ID password is incorrect’ no matter where I attempt to sign in from: App Store or Software Update from the Apple symbol drop down menu on either Mac Mini, via iTunes or from an online link. Also, after each failed attempt I receive a message on my mobile giving me an 'Apple ID code' but where do I key this in?

I found the below on the Apple support website:
On older devices, if you type in the Two-Factor Authenticaction Password/Code AFTER the Apple ID passcode, that how you use Two Factor Authentication on older devices.

e.g. Let‘s say your Apple ID Password is “Apple” and let’s say your Two-Factor Authentication Code is “199456”, then when you type in your password onto your older Mac, and it asks for two-factor authentication, you will type “Apple199456” as your password.
Give that a try.

Interesting. I will have to try that. But my repeated sign-in issues are between several older machines and it seems as if the initial setup didn't stick. Although the info I use works. I just keep getting asked repeatedly to sign-in. Sometimes needing several passwords at once.

I jumped on this thread because of the title. And wanted to add my issues. I have looked around, but haven't found much. That's why I'm here.
