:(I have the following problem with my iMac. After a while of having the computer off (have also laptop), I decided to go and get something of the apple desktop, and it did not start. I was unable for a while to get it going. I get the white screen with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel but nothing else. I decided to try a few things: safe mode, using the prompt, nothing.... so, I installed the disk utility and it came up, I start to do a new install... but it kept quitting because of errors... I went to do a verify and repair, but the repair did not work either. I then did an erase. The erase worked since from having the partition named "Machintosh HD" to "Untitled". I did a new verify and I get this message: "VOLUME HEADER NEEDS MINOR REPAIR. THE VOLUME UNTITLED WAS FOUND CORRUPTED AND NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED."

My problem is that after doing again a verify and repair, I get the same message. The hard drive is a Samsung HD502 HJ Media with 500.11GB capacity.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Do I have to get a new hard drive?

Thank you at least for reading this and if you have some suggestions, please... let me know
