Apple's latest immersive video series for the Vision Pro is set to launch in early September. "Elevated," a new 3D experience, will be available starting on September 6. A teaser for the show with an upcoming date is listed in the Apple Immersive Video section of the Vision Pro.

Apple first announced Elevated in July, but did not provide launch timing for the show. According to Apple, the aerial travel series "whisks viewers around iconic vistas from staggering heights" that include volcanoes, waterfalls, and more in Hawaii.
Gain an all-new perspective as you take aerial tours of the world's most remarkable landscapes, led by well-known guides with a special connection to each place.
While the first episode is set in Hawaii, the second episode, coming at a later date, will feature an autumn scene in New England. Apple is working on multiple new immersive video experiences that are rolling out this year.

Boundless, a series that launched in July, features a first episode with a hot air balloon ride. A second upcoming episode will focus on Arctic Surfing. Apple is planning to release a new immersive performance from The Weeknd, a big wave surfing sports series, a behind-the-scenes view of the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, and its first immersive short film called "Submerged."

Vision Pro users can watch the Apple Immersive video content from the Apple TV app in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, the U.K., and the U.S. Users in China can watch the content through the Migu Video and Tencent Video apps.

No one is keeping it at that price, drop it to £1599 and I’ll buy it just for the video content

Great for the 17 people that kept theirs and didn't return it! :D
We kept a small fleet of them, so that only leaves 5 by your count. I think Apple knew the price was necessarily a limiting factor the first round. But I’ve got an admittedly unscientific sampling of other colleagues and friends- of the 6 that bought AVP, 4 returned and 2 kept theirs. Big shrug from me on what that means

It means that beyond the initial wow factor, they didn't find a compelling reason to keep it, given the cost.

To me it goes beyond the "no killer app" argument, the biggest complaint seems from most reviewers is that its uncomfortable to wear, some people fatigue from the weight/pressure on the face in as little as 30 minutes.

I definitely think weight and comfort are where it falls down. Probably an unpopular opinion but the sound is good but not great. They should’ve just included AirPods Pro

This is the platform that first person surf films would really shine in.

I remember seeing Endless Summer 2 in theaters on a big screen and it was wild.

I remember instinctively holding my breath in one of the early scenes when either Pat O'connell or Bruce Brown, the filmer, duck dove a wave in first person view.

The price would be fine if there were loads of must have content and apps.

Must-have are hyphened words are part of the English language is how humans communicate with hyphens when hyphenation matters.

See what I did there? Now, imagine putting on a Vision Pro and taking an equally mind-blowing metamorphic journey through space and time! Spatial computing is not your grand dad's computer.

Think of the current Vision as the beta, or an early preview really of what will be the mainstream Vision in a few years. ordinarily a company wouldn't release a product before it's affordable, when the tech is too new, but AR/VR is going to be the future so this gives Apple an early mover advantage, in a few years from now when ordinary people can afford to buy the Vision Amateur the ecosystem will be full of these experiences and apps.
I agree with you, but I think Apple really misrepresented it at launch. If you go back and watch the Apple YouTube videos at launch, its kind of surprising at how hard they sold this as a Spatial Computing device for the masses. Obviously the “Pro” label and the price would dissuade most.

I fear that low sales will dissuade many/most developers, which will start a downward spiral - people won’t buy because of few native apps, and developers won’t launch native apps because of few sales.

Really hope Apple has a Vision Air that’s further along than rumors suggest, which hopefully will boost this amazing, if fledgling platform. Also would help if Apple would make their own key apps native (Maps, Home, Pages, Numbers, Contacts, Calendar, etc).

You’re telling me the drip feed of content is acceptable to you?

There is no drip feed, unless you are just referring to Apple releases. Usually 5 or so good VP apps appear each week. Too many to check them all.

The price would be fine if there were loads of must have content and apps.

Depends on a personal perspective of "must have". I have lots of "must have" content on my VP.

Apple should release an iphone-sized dual fisheye 180degree immersive camera, like the black magic immersive camera, except iPhone sized, so that at least average people can make content for it without wearing a headset.

Tim Cook must be so happy that every single AVP user is contributing to his Apple TV Plus service revenue numbers.

After all, what else is there to do with the device than consume 5 minutes of new video every 2 months or so? Better keep that subscription forever!

Apple has been developing the Vision Pro for 10+ years or at least we have been seeing rumors about the product for so long. There is not justification to mark it as "beta" product in any way, shape or form. Also, AR/VR is NOT a new technology. It has been around for years. In fact, many companies are on their 3rd or 4th generation products and there are dozens of different options on the market today. We have also been listening about AR/VR become mainstream and being the future for some years now, and yet we are still not there. It is niche product and has been that way since its inception. For now, Apple has NOT done anything to change that. Quite the opposite, they made the technology even more niche by releasing a 3500$ half-baked product as their greatest expression of design and technology capabilities. Instead of accelerating the adoption of AR/VR, Apple has done the opposite - they showed that even a 3500$ headset with the most modern chips and displays is not appealing to customers and there are technology limitations that are long-way from being solved such as compute power, energy consumption, weight, etc.

Not in the UK - we still have only the first wave of immersive content here - no sign of “Boundless” etc. Come on Apple, stop treating Britain like second-class citizens!

Alas, yet another immersive virtual experience I'll never get to experience. I could buy a VP headset, but I'm loathe to spend $5,000 on a toy (I'd need the lenses and the AppleCare, and sales tax in my area is 9.25%). Guess I'll just have to get by with "real" reality. But then, "virtual" or "augmented" reality are really oxymoronic terms , aren't they?

For the $4k you would spend on the Vision Pro, take the trip to Kauai, hike the cliffs shown on the left in the picture (most beautiful views I’ve ever seen), take the helicopter ride to see the waterfalls in-person, and pocket the remaining $2k.

Nice you are healthy enough to do that. For a lot of folks the only way they could experience those things, due to health or $$ issues is via a VP.

I've been searching for immersive content all over the internet.

Not sure why you are searching the internet. There are a lot of VP immersive applications.
