Apple in ear headphones qauestion

It says on the website

"The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (120GB) and iPod touch (2nd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models."

So I can't use it with my iPhone 3G?

From what I've heard you just can't use the volume controls on the iPhone but you can use the remote to change songs/pause.

The only feature of these that doesn't currently work with the iPhone, is the volume controls.
