Apple has signed a two-year content creation deal with writer and producer Annie Weisman, who has worked on "Desperate Housewives" and is the creator of upcoming Apple TV+ show "Physical," reports Deadline.

"Physical," which stars Rose Byrne, is a dramedy set in 1980s Southern California. Byrne plays a quietly tortured housewife who gets into the world of aerobics. Weisman is showrunner on "Physical" and she will also work on other projects exclusively for Apple TV+.

Prior to inking a deal with Apple, Weisman was at Universal TV. In addition to "Desperate Housewives," she also worked on "Almost Family," "The Path," "Suburgatory," and "About a Boy."

Apple has signed similar content creation deals with a number of high-profile writers and producers, including Alfonso Cuaron, Jason Katims, Lee Eisenberg, Justin Lin, and more. Details on Apple's content deals and shows that are in the works can be found in our Apple TV Shows guide.

Just found out I get 1 year free subscription to Apple TV+ with my new iPhone SE, now I will find out if it's worth a paid subscription.

This sounds…weirdly fascinating to me. Maybe I’m biased because my mother was an aerobics trainer.

80s, SoCal, aerobics…it’ll be interesting to see whether they “go big or go home” on the aesthetic for this. I’ve seen more Desperate Housewives than I’d like to admit, and if that’s any indication…I’m interested. 😂

I received a 1 year free subscription to Apple TV+ when I bought my iPhone 11 Pro last fall. I also just recently bought the 2020 iPad Pro so wondering if I get another year of Apple TV+?

Apple must be very very high on Physical to sign her on long term like this. I wonder when that show will release on TV+... I assume it will be in the next few months, as there was no indication that this series had to interrupt its filming schedule for coronavirus.

No, unless (maybe?) you activated the iPad using another Apple ID. Even if that’s allowed, you’d likely have to continue using that other Apple ID going forward.
