So I have ipad2 and has broken glass on the corner. I want to replace it and apple wants 249 for it (which is not bad) but not sure if they have any 32gb white AT&T version in stock in store and if they don't what do they do orde it ( I didn't see any in stock for referb online) ? Will they allow upgrade to the referb ipad3?

Well thanks for not being rude. I was just asking and still love my ipad2. I just wanted to see what stock stores had and what the process was. Not trying to get any thing diff in exchange. My kids use it alot and it seems it's becoming a safty concern at this point.

Historically if Apple runs out of replacement stock they will upgrade you to the next gen device.

The iPad 2 is still selling. If its still selling, there will still be returns and such. As a result, refurbs will be available. My response may have been different if he had an iPad 1.

I'm certain that they still have replacement iPad 1s available.
Even if they're out of stock they'll order one for you before giving you a pick of a different mode.
