Apple iPhone case design

I was hoping apple would of changed the design for the iPhone cases this time round. No protection for the bottom of the phone is poor design imo, I know it's mainly for docking but most other premium brand cases cover the bottom of the phone and they still dock. Can you see a redesign for the future?

I don't think they will change that. Their case does not even cover the rounded edges, which will still crack your screen if dropped on it. Even though Apple has an amazing talent for blending design and functionality, when it comes to actual accessories, form does not always follows function... Just my two cents.
