I had a Friday delivery for the new phone, but I also haven't received my trade-in kit yet. I seem to remember it arrived sooner in previous years.
Yes, in the past couple of cycles I’ve always received the trade in kit before the new phone arrived.
I chatted with Apple support earlier today and they told me my box is supposed to be relieved between 9/25 and 9/27 but it hasn’t shipped yet.
See for me it always arrived a few days later. It comes UPS but ships back as FedEx. I dropped my phones off today, I always get so nervous doing it this way but I tried doing it in store once and it was a nightmare. They couldn’t figure out how to take the phone in since I did the upgrade program online and not directly with them in store.
I’ve never received the trade in kit for the upgrade program until after my new phone was received (and I’ve been using the upgrade program every year since the 7). My trade in get has been shipped by UPS and I will be reviving it tomorrow
In the UK I received my Trade-In kit on my launch day pre-order the following day, Saturday. That being said, the returns address to where it goes to is about 15 mins drive from my house, so may be why!
Same here. Showing up same delivery date and label showing up this am in UPS my choice, but they dont have the package yet. At this rate, Apple wont be receiving the phone within 14 days.
What happens if I dont Return my phone for the trade in? I sold it on eBay instead for $200 more! Just owe Apple $650?

Just pay off the balance or keep paying it monthly until paid off.
I paid the balance of $750 or something like that. just not sending in the phone for the trade. I guess what Im asking is what will apple do? Obviously I would Owe them $650
Received my new iPhone on Friday, trade in kit in Tuesday, sent it back on Wednesday and received my trade in refund on Friday.
If you paid off the balance of the citizens loan then Apple will just cancel your trade in after the date passes and you won’t have to do anything else. You wouldn’t owe them money if you paid the balance like you said.
I also got the trade in box on Tuesday. Shipped back same afternoon. Was received on Thursday and this morning got the notice the trade in was complete. The box is pretty ridiculously flimsy. I had to use tape to seal it to make sure!

Thank you! The box delivered was for my wifes phone. One is on the way for mine.
Are you sure you only paid the balance? If you ordered your iPhone through apple with a trade in, you did not just paid the balance, you paid the full price upfront.
Apple charges the full price upfront, then they give you a credit for the trade in when they receive it. If you don’t send the trade in device, they already charged your full price.
