They don't say how much the setup fee. It sounds like you can buy iPods with a custom logo for the normal price after a one off fee.

So a MR ipod would be $1300 for the first one and then $300 afterwards.

They might give discounts if you bought 100 of them.

To be honest Apple is all about Apple. Resellers are left to try and find extra profit elsewhere with Apple. Many only sell Apple (in particular the iPod), only because it is Apple.

This looks like a good idea for car companies, soda companies, and these would make good door prizes for various conventions and stuff. It is a good way for a company to get their name out even more. Certainly if like Coke (I am a Diet Coke Drinker, hi) did something where you could win an Ipod. They would get a lot of coke sells, and not loose too much money. Car companies could offer them with new car purchases (except GM who is have troubles after employee pricing.. ouch). People carry around these ipods, they get seen by a lot of people. Having a name brand on the back of it is just advertising for the companies. But hell if I won a free 5G 60gig Ipod, I wouldn't complain about it even if it had Tampax on the back of it.

Apple appears to be offering volume custom engraving for business for the holiday season. As well as volume songs. Check it out!

Actually, the custom imaging has been offered almost as long custom engraving has. It just wasn't hugely advertised because it was primarily a business thing. volume discounts on songs and ipods has also been around for a long while as well
