MacBidouille posts the following.

The translation will follow in 3 -4 minutes time.

Here comes the translation:

Big Commercial people and Apple are talking , here in Europe, of making a big shot @ WWCD. Basically Apple starts to take of the veil of the WWDC.They say to their customer that a new faster platform will arrive at the WWDC. The 970 is only hardly marked...
Notice that Apple is perhaps reading these lines.

I understand english may not be your first language but I was wondering if you could explain your title for me? I'm having a time trying to figure out what you're trying to say.

I would translate that as "The word 970 is hardly uttered"

So, maybe the 970 is not what it is about after all... Something entirely new perhaps? I'm convinced that whatever it is, it will be earthshattering.

What does this mean, did I miss something, or just lost in the translation?

Translation from AI-

Commercial large accounts and APPLE big shots in Europe, have begun to raise the veil on the WWDC. In short, they are saying to their customers that a new faster platform will arrive at the WWDC. The word 970 is only whispered... (not mentioned?)

Note, it may be they read us

Babelfish puts it like this:

Commercial large accounts and APPLE big shots in Europe, start to in short raise the veil on the WWDC., they say to their customer that a new faster platform will arrive at the WWDC. Word 970 is only hardly marked...

Notice, they read us can be:)

I take the last line as meaning that these commercial large accounts and/or Apple big shots in Europe could just be getting their information from MacBidoulle, and not basing their statements to customers on inside knowledge from Apple.

i think t is supposed to be "take off the cover." As in, lifting the veil.

I hope it's not the Itanic or the Opteradactyl. Binary incompatibility would split the community again.

For us Europeans there is a huge Apple-Event in Berlin on June 23rd.
Unluckily, I won't be there, but my boss will.
Makes the hype bigger. :)

Actually Mac Expo is being held in Köln, not Berlin ;)

It can only mean that a big announcement is going to take place if they are planning two simultaneous events.

is it? Sorry.... my bad.
I thought I heard my boss say Berlin. Köln is even closer to me!

Well the big news won't be announced until the early evening in Europe, maybe you can get there that day to take part in the big event!

Interesting that both events are taking place on the same day and after WWDC was pushed off to this date. Seems intentionally linked togther. I'm not overly optimistic (though i am hoping) about seeing the 970 then, but the linking of the dates seems to push things in that direction....... though it could just be panther......

Yeah, the new 500 Mhz PPC 604. :D

Or do they have one of those? Last I checked, it was at 475 MHz.

This 970 thing seems overhyped to me. It will be an improvement to people who understand, who care. But to the lay person who doesn't know the difference between a mouse and their "cup-holder" it won't mean anything. We'll still be way behind.

Oooh, I wish I could. But I have to attend some course near Rotterdam until about 6 pm.:(

"Opteradactyl"?

I must have been asleep during that class. :D

Now I know (asked my boss...)

The Mac Expo is in Köln June 23rd to June 25th
A WWDC event is in Berlin June 23rd!

The people attending the WWDC-event will probably seen Steve's Keynote live. Which makes me wonder if there will be any other way to view it....
