so, i enrolled in the APPLE IUP last year for the X. i want to upgrade my phone and still keep the X to hand it down to a family member. is it possible to get the new iphone and keep the X and make payments for both phones? or would they charge me full price for the X?

Are you wanting the new phone on a new line? I believe that is the only way to keep the current X without having to pay it off. If you want the same line on the new phone, you are either going to have to trade it in or pay it off. Do not think you have two loans on the same line.

So if you pay it off to give someone else the phone, does that just automatically free your line up for another plan? I have a friend who wants to buy my 8+ and I was just gonna pay off the line and then do a new one for me (if I upgrade), but how soon will it free me up to upgrade my same number? Like when should I pay this one off to be sure I have that option at release?
