Are you kidding me? Yet another incremental processor upgrade, and that's it, for the 2011 upgrade. Nothing new to see here boys. Bye now.

Seriously what did you want? A retinal scanner to log you in to your Mac? Sandy Bridge is already the latest and greatest, you can get 8GB of ram for under $50 sometimes.

For one, that's just a rumor. For two what the hell do you want them to change?

There's nothing else to upgrade to. Ivy Bridge won't be out until next year and neither will AMD's 7XXXM series or NVIDIA's 6XXM series.

i was expecting a bad expierence story with a warranty claim or something of that nature, all you did was go wha wha wha, a faster processor is an upgrage for most, what did you want it to have? you dont even explain what they could of done better even knowing that you dont exactly know whats going to be changed.

and ill say this even if you have spend 50,000 on apple products in your life, they read their profits in the Billions to 1 decimal so you 50K doesnt have any effect on them.

www.dell.com

your getting a dell dude

So let me get this right... You have a nice, powerful machine... The company that manufactures it will no do upgrades a second time a year, and you don't want to use it anymore ? I've seen smarter people...

This is a product of Apples practice of setting consumers expectations unrealistically high from all the hype. Apple needs to look in the mirror.

Is this "stupid wednesday" already and i didn't get the memo?!?

Wtf did you expect them to do? Sit on they're collective asses just because you bought 1 machine and don't want to feel like you have the "top of the range" out there?...

You probably don't even take advantage of 10% of he potential you have now (and plz, no lame ass excuses like "it's for college" or "i do when i play games")

Wasn't there a processor bump around this time last year, then a full-fledged refresh in Feb. I think those that were speculating what the 2012 redesign will be like (as if it were a foregone conclusion) really did themselves in. The speculation had begun as soon as the 2011 models were released. Give me a break.

You should stay away from computers and in general technology that gets updated regulary so yours gets obsolete almost right after you bought it.

Perhaps you should consider buying antiques, those things get worthier the older they are.

This!! :D
To OP,I feel your pain. It's extremely difficult to buy components from other stores like newegg

What did you expect? Apple can hardly release an updated MBP line with a processor that isn't even on the market yet (Ivy). Some people...

seriouly the current macbooks are awesome and powerful.
