...to a mid 2012 rMBP due to failing battery and all seemed well. However after a few hours use something seemed wrong, every time I went to hit the "return" key I was automatically trying to press between the return key and the key above (the "\").
I then pulled up images of the original 2012 keyboard and realised that my old keyboard had a "return" key that spanned two rows and the "\" key was down one row. Which explained why I was trying to press in the wrong place.
Then it dawned on me, Apple have replaced the top case with the wrong one, I had a UK keyboard and now it has a US keyboard. The "£" has been replaced with a "#". Spoke to support and they agreed a mistake had been made, it's gong back in next week.
