I just recorded an email grom Apple.
"We’re contacting you to let you know your package may arrive later than expected. We apologize, and we’re working hard to ensure you receive your items as soon as possible."
So I really don't know when my Apple TV will arrive.
So maybe you should have worked harder to be ready for the launch? Maybe tell everyone they could purchase in the stores the same day? But I guess an email works?
Really wondering if I want to deal with the same issue for the iPad Pro. My work will be issuing me a surface and I was really looking forward to updating my iPad but the last few launches have really made me thing twice about ordering from Apple. I've been an apple user for years, I'm still using my Mac Pro, my G4 and MacBook Pro. My older 2008 MacBook Pro has been working great for my parents for the past few years but as of lately it seems like anything I order seems to have issues.
I will say Apple is good about dealing with the issues after the fact but let's spend a little time prior to the order to reduce all the issues. For my last MacBook Pro issue I was sent a Thule backpack to help take care of all the problems. It was nice but let's get it right upon ordering.
