"If you aren't excited enough about the iPad, you better get ready for the iSpecs!

Apple is launching a pair of glasses that will provide high-def 3D video for the small screen.

The iSpecs (just its nickname for now!) will allow users to slot their iPod or iPhone into it and the headset will use special lens tech to split the picture between the eyes, which will result in 3D viewing.

The gadget will also be equipped with an external camera and infrared sensor, which means that a live video stream of the view in front of the glasses could be automatically displayed if someone approached the user."

 
I saw the patent application, but that doesn't mean this will happen in real life.
