Apple Lighting AV Adapter no longer works on ios 12

So it’s all over the internet the Apple lighting AV Adapter stopped working with iOS 12

Go look at the product ratings on Apple.com its down to 1 star and people are just trashing Apple over this. Of course Apple and other retailers are still selling them for $50.

Many think it’s a firmware but I’m not to sure. It’s been almost 3 months now with no fix. I just wish Apple would be a little more communicative with this issue.

Anyone have a update?

Works for me, at least the HDMI version. Haven't used VGA in a while...

Of course. Already had a couple of presentations from my iPhone, using lightning to HDMI adapter.

This is promising...but I get what the op is saying about everyone having issues using this adapter with iOS 12. I’m thinking of getting one and I hope it works.

Last time I used it was about 3 weeks ago. HDMI. All OK.

Is there certain circumstances yours isn't working? I just tried it with an HDMI 1080p monitor I had in my office and an iPad Air 2 and iPhone 8 Plus, both running 12.1.2, and had no trouble.
