Has anyone else experienced a lightning cable that will charge devices but won't sync? This is a standard Apple manufactured cable. I treat my cables with kid gloves so it's not due to misuse. No pulling or fraying etc.

When I plug it into my laptop to sync a device it rapidly connects and disconnects over and over. This is the first time this has happens with any of the cables I've owned and I've had a lot.

That is the normal failure symptoms for bad cables that I've seen.
