If you're talking about removing the Lion install and putting Snow Leopard on, it's more difficult than it should be. You can do it but the drive has locked and you have to use a windows tool that's written in Chinese to do it.
Why should it be easy? The drive is sold specifically as an OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive that is only capable of installing OS X Lion. Apple never markets or mentions it as being usable for anything else. When you buy a Lion USB Thumb Drive you get exactly that a Lion USB Thumb Drive and nothing more.
