Apple Logic Pro 8 or 9?

hey guy's, well i was looking at some video's on YouTube of the newest Logic Pro and it look pretty awesome!! i have GarageBand and i don't like it very much.. i have Parralel installed on my MacBook Pro and i'm using Mixcraft 5 for recording but when i'm using it the sound crackles and i want to use my mac for recording my music..

so i was wondering which one is better the 8 or 9?

What sort of music are you creating?

If it's mostly rock/recorded stuff then Logic Express is fine. Logic Pro contains more loops and synths, so it's better for electronic music.

well i'm mostly recording some orchestral stuff and some piano instrumentals

Have a look at the different features of Express vs Pro. I'm sure that Express would be fine for you (biggest problem might be that there's a limit on the number of tracks).

I'd always go for the latest software. The latest version of Logic is 64 bits.
