Has anyone else noticed that the apple logo on the new iPad is now "sunken in" instead of raised (embossed) on the iPad 2? guess with the added thickness even the slightest reduction to the overall heft helps.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B176 Safari/7534.48.3)

This is amazing.

??? Hmm my iPad 1,2,3 are sunken in, not embossed.
By design? I think so... less scratches.

He's talking about the even newer iPad. The 4th gen. It sunken in like three or four inches. It actually pushes part of the screen closer to your face, for that retinaS experience. A huge difference from the old 3rd gen. You should all have heard about this by now. Freakin n00bs.

I'm pretty sure it's .01mm more shallow on the new iPad.

Measured them both with my yardstick and it seems about right.

??? My iPad-that-i-don't-have-yet's apple logo is sunken in, not embossed.

It all seriousness, this is one of the first things I noticed. On my iPad 2, it was more flush with the aluminum, and now it is very slightly "sunken in."
