Apple MA515C/A is this valid for use in USA

Came across these at Best Buy. According to Apple they are Canada based 3 year protection for MBP. Question: does anyone know if they are valid for use in the USA?

I am pretty sure applecare works everywhere, but it just goes by a different name as they license out work to other companies. Is this like that?

Yes you can, I just purchased one; and it worked like an ace. However the "registration will be in progress" for quite some time before you actually receive a confirmation.
