hope im in the right spot here. i have been looking everywhere for a solution to this and have had no luck finding a direct answer. so here it goes...

all i want to do is find a way to upgrade the OS X on my mac pro 3.0.
here are my current specs.

Processor 2 x 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 16 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Serial Number G880804FXYL

all i want to do if find a way to at least get to a 10.9 or 10.10 osx
i dont want to spend money on this mac because its just for common things but being this low of a OS is restricting me from getting application i need so i just want to see what solutions are out there. any help is appreciated. thanks.

You're completely not in the right spot, but you can upgrade that computer to El Capitan more easily than anything else: https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT206886
Click on the link in the section labeled "if your Mac doesn't support Sierra".
