Apple Mac Problem

Hi,

I have recently acquired an

iBook G4
12"
1.07Ghz
OS 10

I had everything with this wen I bought it 2nd hand from a local seller. But I have a lot of work using AppleWorks but this is not installed. The version that came on disk with the laptop is cracked and unusable. I have contacted Apple for a replacement, but they want £45 which I cannot afford (student!). I have checked the Apple website but there are only updates available, is there any place where I can get this or maybe convert my AppleWorks files?

Thanks. I have already tried the update apps from the Apple website but they dont work. It needs a fresh install. If it was an update, id be sorted now!
