Hello there,

I bought a SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive 3.1 Luxe 256GB to be used with my Apple MacBook Air (2020) M1 but my Macbook doesn't see the USB drive. I tested it in my brothers Macbook Pro and another Windows laptop and it shows on there. But on my Macbook Air doesn't show it.

I looked on disk utility but it simply doesn't show up...

Any advice on what I can do?

Cheers!

I've had issues with my M1 MBA recognizing San Disk flash media. Try inserting before booting, if it shows up that may be as good as it gets. If it’s on a cable, vary the order and timing of plugging in cables and devices and, on mine, the usb cable must be removed prior to plugging in different San Disk media, otherwise the media will not show up. There are always running dialogs on the San Disk Support site about issues with Macs. As well as caveat statements issued by San Disk that somehow never get disclosed prior to the marketing/selling process.
